Celebrating the Hanover Tomato: Blogfest, Part 3

Simple and Sweet

     So many times, simple is often best.  After a weekend of boating with friends on the James, the Hub and I sat down to this plateful of fresh Hanover tomatoes.  The tomato slices were sprinkled with salt and a few turns of fresh black pepper, then topped with slices of fresh mozzarella, splattered with good balsamic vinegar and finished with fresh basil from the backyard.  This simple and sweet approach was the perfect ending to a near perfect weekend.

    Looks delicious. This is a nice reminder of what to do with the tomato…and mozzerella ….and fresh basil from the yard…..even a yard up North in Naperville. A wonderful appetizer to share, or a delightful salad. xxoo Aunt Sue
